What is Modding Association Rust Radar for Rust?
A radar is information and nothing else. It shows you where players are on a map view, with no overlay drawn over the game and no aim assistance of any kind.
In Rust that is a larger advantage than it sounds. Knowing a group of four is approaching your compound decides whether you log off, farm elsewhere or set up an ambush — and none of those decisions require you to win a gunfight.
What it shows
- Player positions on a map view with team association where available
- Distance and heading, so you can tell approach from passing traffic
- Sleeper positions — the single most useful thing before committing to an offline raid
- Scientist and NPC locations
How it presents
- A separate map view rather than an overlay drawn on the game
- Readable on a second monitor, tablet or phone depending on setup
- No chams, boxes or skeletons rendered over your game at all
Detection risk and anti-cheat
Nothing is drawn over the game, so there is nothing for a screenshot, a stream or a spectator to catch. This is the quietest form of advantage available in Rust.
The tell is behavioural, and it is the same one that catches every information cheat: acting on knowledge faster than anyone could have obtained it. Logging off the instant a group leaves their base, or waiting in exactly the right bush, reads as impossible knowledge to the people it happens to.
A radar produces no killcam evidence and no visual artefact. What it produces is a pattern of decisions, and patterns are what get people watched.
Live detection status for every product is on the status page, and how detection actually works is covered in our anti-cheat explainer.
System requirements
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
- Secure Boot disabled
- Administrator rights to launch the loader
- A second screen, tablet or phone is recommended but not required
When to choose Modding Association Rust Radar
- You want awareness without anything rendered over your game
- You stream or record and cannot risk a visual artefact
- Your play is base-focused — raid defence, offline timing, farming safely
When something else is the better buy
- Ancient Rust External or Arcane Rust if you want ESP drawn in-game and recoil control alongside it.
- Rust Recoil Script if your problem is losing fights mechanically rather than being surprised.
- A radar will not help you win a fight you are already in. It helps you not be in it.
Frequently asked questions
Does a radar draw anything on my screen?
No. It presents a separate map view rather than an overlay, which is why it is the safest option for anyone streaming or recording.
Is radar-only safer than full ESP?
Against anything visual, considerably — there is no artefact to capture. Against behavioural suspicion it is the same, because acting on information you should not have looks identical either way.
Can it show sleepers?
Yes, and it is the most valuable thing it does. Knowing whether a base is occupied before committing to a raid is worth more than anything that happens during one.
Do I need a second device?
It is recommended for comfort rather than required. A second monitor, tablet or phone keeps the map out of your game view entirely.
